Susan M. Johnson, RN
Susan Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Arts from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, and a Registered Nurse diploma from the Swedish American School of Nursing in Rockford, Illinois. She is licensed in Illinois and Wisconsin and has more than 25 years of nursing experience. Prior to joining Why Weight? in 2002, Susan specialized in weight loss at the Nutrisystem program and then with the Optifast Program at Sherman Hospital. Based on her experience, she is convinced the secret to successful weight loss is patience and accountability.
“Other programs will prescribe various medications and then not see the patient for a whole month,” she says. “Here we have accountability. We meet with patients every week or every two weeks. Our goal is to schedule generous time with each patient. We know that one-on-one support is critical to their success.”
